UNITED SOUND FONT
UNITED SOUND FONT
Your email will be subscribed to both United Sound and MakeMusic newsletters (MakeMusic is Finale). You can unsubscribe at any time.
*Please take note that Finale has worked for two years to create this font for United Sound and all of our friends completely FREE of charge. It should work with any notation program and they have included specific templates for both Finale and Sibelius. (Seriously, who does this???) The only request they have made is to collect a list of who is downloading it. Please send your friends to this page, not directly to the download.
The other really important reason to make sure you are on the list is that this is Version 1. There will undoubtedly be updates and fixes as we go along and we will send you notifications for those.

A short list of new ideas for ways to use this. Send us yours and we’ll add them here!
The font defaults to the United Sound colors. You can easily change them (to match Boomwhackers, for example).
If you need just one student’s part to be different, “save as” and create a new file. The whole score has to be the same font.
Mac Users, the instructions that will come with the download files work just fine unless your computer is running macOS Catalina. If so, here’s the fix: Everything is fine until you get to Step 4, Launch Finale. Then you’ll get an error message that says "cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified.”
The solution is just: System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> General and enable the blocked app from Allow apps downloaded from pan at the bottom of the window.
PC Users, additional help might be found here: https://www.finalemusic.com/blog/default-files-document-styles-templates/ (The section under "Managing Customized Music Files" will be the most helpful on where to put these files.)
